Be Hope of Glory was officially launched with a simple but powerful mission: to restore hope to vulnerable people in Cameroon. The first outreach supported six women — many of them mothers facing hardship — including IDPs from Bamenda and Ekona alongside women from Limbe.
Beneficiaries grew from 6 to 8. Afterwards, the women expressed heartfelt appreciation to the founder for remembering them.
The outreach continued, supporting the same group of beneficiaries.
A special festive outreach. The team also prepared food and drinks, and provided transportation for beneficiaries to return home safely.
Be Hope of Glory continued supporting vulnerable families with food items and essential supplies.
One of the most memorable and challenging outreaches. Many additional community members arrived believing a larger aid operation was taking place. Rather than turning people away, the team adjusted the distribution so everyone present received something to take home.
Beneficiaries gathered for prayers, praise and worship, shared meals, and fellowship before receiving support and transportation home — a celebration of community, remembrance, and gratitude.
Be Hope of Glory lost two women who had been part of the support program. During their illnesses, the organization assisted with medication and other support where possible.
Despite security challenges, the team travelled to support families living under extremely difficult conditions. Beyond relief items, they spent time encouraging families and reminding them not to lose hope — and included seeds so families could farm.
Be Hope of Glory continued its quarterly humanitarian outreaches, including activities in Bamenda and a December outreach in Buea. Detailed operational records from this period are not available, but the outreach team confirms the activities followed the same humanitarian approach as previous years — distribution of food supplies, community support, and encouragement to vulnerable households.
The team visited Limbe Camp, where many women facing mobility challenges gathered for prayers, songs of praise, and fellowship. Initially 12 women were present, but support was ultimately shared among 20 people. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for continuing to be remembered.
Beyond Food Distribution
Be Hope of Glory has also supported vulnerable individuals through livelihood empowerment. In December 2021, a young mother named Linda Awuh — caring for her eight-month-old child without parental support — received assistance to start a firewood business, giving her a means to provide for herself and her child.
The organization continues exploring ways to help other displaced families establish small businesses and become more self-reliant.
Looking Ahead
These realities are not obstacles — they are opportunities to extend compassion, strengthen communities, and restore hope.
Reaching more communities across Cameroon through consistent outreach, so vulnerable families receive support throughout the year.
Expanding initiatives that help people learn vocational skills, establish small businesses, and build sustainable income.
Strengthening our ability to provide medical assistance, medication, psychosocial support, and referrals to health services.
One of our greatest operational needs is transportation. A dedicated utility vehicle — such as a Toyota pickup — would help us transport supplies, reach remote communities more efficiently, reduce operational costs, respond more quickly to urgent needs, and safely transport vulnerable individuals. This single investment would strengthen nearly every aspect of our work.
Every outreach, every shared meal, every prayer, and every act of kindness reflects one enduring belief: where there is hope, there is life.
